With flash.  I'm not really a bright red nail polish wearer, but as you know I've been trying to broaden my horizons in the polish department so I thought I would try a Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear one. I've been really loving this line and I've got Cherry Red to show you.  She is a really lovely bright, true pillar box, creamy red. I can't believe how much I adore this colour! There is no shimmer art all, but somehow she manages to almost glow. Without flash, artificial light. I couldn't fault the formula one little bit. She was pretty much opaque at one coat, but you know I always like to add a second. The formula is neither too runny or thick, and is very forgiving. Drying time is good and you get a beautiful shiny finish. These pictures are with Sally Hansen Continuous Treatment as a base coat and no top coat. That's all from me for now, I hope you are well. With flash As you all know, I've been really getting in to nail art at the moment and I've been seeing some absolutely stunning freehand mani's on my fellow polish loving bloggers posts. It's taken a while for me to build up the courage to give it a go, and I finally took the plunge and picked up my nail art brush.  So to start with I applied Hedy's Cherry Bomb. This polish was just so, so to be honest, not terrible but not brilliant. She is a deep bergundy tinted red with shimmer. I don't think the colour particularly suits me, but I think I'd choose this colour for wearing more around Christmas time.  Formula wise, she didn't thrill me. She was more opaque than I thought by looking at the bottle, but has such a weird texture that is not at all forgiving. Drying time was reeeeaaaaalllllllyyyyyy slow and I kept smudging the same three fingers over and over again, which meant I didn't start my design until really late at night, boooo! ...

A couple of days ago I was reading Beauty By Emma's blog and I came accross her post about some of this months freebies ( to take a look at Emma's blog click here ). There are some great freebies around so I had to pop down to the town and grab some of them, and I thought I'd share which ones I got. Like many of you I love Benefit, and as they are so expensive it's nice to get a couple of them for free! Left to right, Jelly Bean, Bon Bon, Purple Sherbert.
