Don't Judge Me!

Image
Right, I know this is getting out of hand now, but do you know what? I don't feel bad... It's hard work being a single Mum, especially when you live with a disease that effects you on a daily basis, so why shouldn't I treat myself to things for my nails?  Left to right, Sally Hansen Supershine, Gel Cuticle Remover, Advanced Hard As Nails, Double Duty, Continuous Treatment.  First off let's start with the Sally Hansen nail care. You know I like to try out base and top coats, plus I use them up really quickly as I'm painting my nails pretty much every day at the moment. You may have noticed as a result of me doing my nails so often, my poor cuticles have not been looking too great so I grabbed some cuticle oil and remover.  Left to right, Sally Hansen Sea & Be Seen, Metallic Momentum, Pepto Pink, Grape Going!,  Whirlwind White, Gold Flash.  Next we have the Sally Hansen Insta Dri's . I was really impressed with the others that I've alrea...

Orly Top 2 Bottom, 2 coats Ciate Bon Bon,,  Stamping White Konad, Orly in a Snap Top Coat , with flash.  Puja from Cute Nails has set up a new group called We Love Nails . I will be doing a nail challenge every week on a Tuesday. If you'd like to know more,  click here   to check out the post on Puja's blog, This weeks challenge was to do a french or reverse mani, so I got my stamping plates out! I decided to use one of my new freebie polishes as the base colour and I chose Ciate Bon Bon . She is a beautiful purpleish taupe and sooo pretty! I wont go too much in to detail about this polish now, as I have a review of her coming soon!  As above, no flash. For the stamping I used this absolutely gorgeous design from my Bundle Monster plate BM217 with Konad White. The design is actually flowers, but I think it gives a beautiful lacey effect, don't you? I have to admit, I found it a little difficult lining up the design on t...

Just A Little Nail Mail

Left to right, Orly In A Snap, Orly Top 2 Bottom, OPI Did You  Ear About Van Gogh?, OPI  I Don't Give A Rotterdam, OPI Pedal Faster Suzie One night last week I was sitting looking at some nail blogs on my phone and realised I hadn't been on a favourite website of mine for a while. I wasn't actually planning on buying anything, but when I saw they had some of the OPI Holland Collection, I just had to indulge. As you can see I also grabbed a base coat and top coat in one, and then a quick dry top coat. I always like to try new base and top coats, and as I've been really loving Orly polishes I wanted to see if these were as good. I bought these from Cheapsmells.com as I have had good experiences with them several times. Delivery is quick, they come well packaged inside a sturdy box and I've always been happy so never had to contact them. They have random polishes on there and their stock is always changing so worth having a look. They also offer free postage a...

Pretty Cupcakes for Pink Wednesday

Image
Evening all, and I hope you are enjoying this glorious Wednesday. The weather has been absolutely wonderful today in the UK apart from an iddy biddy little storm that only lasted about twenty minutes. So it has put me in a slightly good mood. I use the word slightly as I had a horrible start to the day with a phone call from my letting agent. He was calling to tell me that after a week of keeping me hanging on thinking I had a house and moving in on the fifteenth of June, the landlady has decided to reject my application! But for now, lets get on to the polish. For this weeks Pink Wednesday polish we have Orly's Cupcake. This is a pale creamy bubblegum pink and actually looks a bit like strawberry milkshake. It's a very girly shade and is very much at home in among all the pretty girly pinks in my collection. Formula wise it glides on like a dream, I'm finding this allot with the Orly's I've bought. Even on the first coat it went on really nicely and fa...

My First Experience Of Stamping...

Image
I was really eager to get stamping away when my new plates arrived so I waited until my little girl Gracie was in bed and got all my nail things out. I have to say that I did think I was going to get it straight away and I got very frustrated that it wasn't coming out perfect straight away until some other people told me that you just need to practice a few times. I wasn't sure whether I should post the pics as it was a massive fail, but actually it's good for other newbie stampers such as myself to see what my experience has been like. So to start off with I had a little lap tray with all the equipment I needed and covered it with some kitchen roll as I'd heard this can get quite messy. Then I picked out a stamping plate, the one I chose was BM210. Next was to decide which polish I wanted to stamp with, well that wasn't too much of a choice as I wanted to use one of my new Konad Special Polishes and I only had them in black or white, so I chose white. ...

Gorgeous Dusty Pink Goodness In A Bottle

Image
Orly Artificial Sweetener, 2 coats, no top coat, with flash. I was so happy to receive my order after waiting for it for so long so obviously I had to try out one of my new nail polishes last night! I had allot to choose from so I just closed my eyes and grabbed one, the one I picked out was Orly Artificial Sweetener . First of all lets address the packaging, the lid on these bottles is made of a sort of rubber which is super duper easy to hold and makes applying your polish a really nice comfortable experience. Then you have the fact that you get a whopping 18ml of product which is great if you ask me, some polishes you get half as much. No flash in the shade This shade is from their Spring 2012 collection, Cool Romance. I would call this a light dusty pink with a gorgeous subtle gold shimmer running through it. In the shade it looks just like a plain cream, but when the light hits it, it looks absolutely stunning! Even my Dad paid me a compliment on it this morning a...

Nail Polish Haul, Essie, China Glaze and Orly

Image
Left to right, Everythings Rosy, Cupcake, Artificial Sweetener, Elsbeths Rose. Here are the Orly polishes that I picked out, yes they are all pink! When I first got them out of the packet, I thought they were all very similar, but there's quite a big bit of difference so I'm pleased with them. I've heard such good things about Orly so I'm super duper excited to try them out! Left to right, French Affair, Flawless, Neo Whimsical, Lily Pond. Next up are the Essie's , ok so I went as bit overboard with seven of them, but these are shades I've wanted for a while so I think they're justified... Lef t to right, Unkown China Glaze, Essie Lilacism, Essie Topless and Barefoot. The China Glaze on the end was meant to be Something Sweet which is a pink cream, and this is clearly not it! The worst thing is, there is no sticker on the bottom to tell me which polish it actually is. Not too happy about it and I've sent an e-mail to see what th...
