Ok so I'm going to blame feeling poorly and a bit sorry for myself for the indulgence in nail polish. But actually do I really need an excuse? Erm, NO! So as money is a bit tight at the moment I decided to have a little looksy on Fragrance Direct, I've never ordered from them before but as the prices seemed really reasonable I thought I might aswell give it a go :-)

Well my order did take over two weeks to arrive but I'm not going anywhere so that didn't bother me too much, but when it did arrive the packaging wasn't all I expected to be honest. There was packing in the top and the bottom, but all of the polishes were in ther middle left to jiggle around amongst themselves and got a little beat up in the process. Although, I was VERY lucky and there were no breakages but I would have liked to see them with a little extra packaging.

So up first are the OPI's in the top picture. I'm starting with them because they're the ones I'm most excited about as I dont have allot of OPI, but what I do have I've been really impressed with. I know they are from old collections but that's why there were cheaper only costing £6.45 a bottle instead of £10.50. Can you say... BARGAIN!

Left to right, Sally Hansen Max Growth 51 Natural Sienna, Sally Hansen Diamond
Strength 41 Mille Fleurs, Sally Hansen Diamond Strength Pink Proposal, Sally
Hansen Diamond Strength 70 First Dance, Sally Hansen Diamond Strength 62
                                                                  I Do.

I've heard allot about Sally Hansen, especially as I've recently been looking at allot more nail related blogs, but I'vde always been put off by the high price tag in Boots, but as these were about £1.50 each, I had to give them a go. There's some really pretty shimmer in them but I think they're going to be fairly sheer. that's the only problem with buying online, it's hard to tell the formula.

Left to right, Sally Dry Kwik, Sally Hansen Maximum Growth Plus x 2, Sally
Hansen Salon  Pardon My French, Sally Hansen Salon You Gurt Style.

I also wanted some base and top coat so when I saw that they had a two in one formula  I thought I'd try that out and got two of them, They're meant to be the same thing but are quite different colours... Hmmm, not quite sure why as they're meant to be clear I think. I also got a quick dry top coat and a couple of nudey looking polishes from the Salon line. Again, these look like they're going to be pretty sheer but I think I'll be able to build them up. They're quite a bit lighter in colour than their swatches on the website aswell.

Left to Right, Revlon Natural, Revlon Scene Stealer, Rimmel White Orchid.

The last little part of my haul was a little bit of a dissapointment as the swatch online made the Revlon Natural polish look like it was a nude, but it's in fact just a clear polish. It didn' cost allot so I'm not too worried and I'm really pleased witht the Rimmel White Orchid as it's got a lovely iridescent sheen to it and I'm looking forward to trying it out.

So all in all I am pleased with my haul but I think next time I'll do more research into checking out swatches of the polishes before I order.

Expect to be seeing some of these polishes in Nail Of The Day Posts coming up! Oh and did I mention I'm waiting on some more nail mail? Well I am and it should be here any time now so watch this space for some Orly, Essie and China Glaze. Oh yeah, I've been bitten by the polish bug and I'm on a mission to build up my collection lol.

Let me know if you've done a haul recently and if I don't follow you already send me a link as I'd love to see some polish hauls to boost my wish list. Oh and if you're wondering about my Youtube video's, I should have some up and running by next week when I get the camera sorted out. Byeeeeeeeeeeee xx :-)

  1. Beautiful pastel colours. I also buy opi and china glaze from older collection because they are so much cheaper I was able to get some old opi for £5.00 and china glaze for 2.50 :)
